Development of medical care in southern Taiwan - Medical College and Hospital National Cheng Kung University in case

Medical College and Hospital National Cheng Kung University (NCKUHC), located in the south of Taiwan, was created in 1983. It's so young and different with Hospital National Taiwan University. But there is a responsibility to improve the medical environment in south Taiwan. After 1970s, National power controlled medical system. Executive Yuan decided to implement the fourteen major building constructions, one of which is south medical center. MCNCKU was build at July 1983, and after 5 years the hospital finished. Then it provide doctor training, Clinical and Basic Medical research, though MCNCKU followed government health policy, it also showed at health city. We would like to review the development of MCNCKU, and to understand that how the National power effect the medical environment in the south of Taiwan.
