摘要：
The emerging background of consumer products safety (CPS) theory is expounded firstly. Then this paper analyzes research status of CPS theory in Developed Countries in Europe and America from aspects of meeting topics and academic journals, summarizes CPS related researches in China, and indicates their limitations. Finally, seven frontier problems are put forward, which include: basic concepts and classification of CPS, discipline belongingness of CPS theory, CPS economics, influencing factors of CPS, CPS ethics and supervision system design, CPS laws, regulations and standards, CPS alert and management system.
