Some new criteria for the oscillation of the fourth order functional differential equation d\dt (a3(t)\1 (dt\d a(2)(t)\1 (dt\d a(1)(t)\1 (dt\d x(t))(alpha 1))(alpha 2))(alpha 3)) + delta q(t) f (x[g(t)]) = 0 where delta = +/- 1 are established. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
