Towards the Trustable Global Information Logistics Infrastructure

摘要
Recent experience on a massive earthquake and disaster, in which systems based solely on synchronous-style communications did not work, suggests us that asynchronous-style communications are of practical importance for resilient trustable information networking when network resources are very limited. Consistent with the lines of research on generalizing the DTN-related technologies for the future Internet, a framework called Global Information Logistics Infrastructure (GILI) illustrated is considered, which combines conventional information networking with logistics of physical objects through the store-carry-forward scheme, supported by arterial transportation systems and regionally divided. Through demonstration, we will report a couple of preliminary field experiments and semi-asynchronous applications using two different techniques we proposed.
