Analysis of economic integration processes, which occur in various regional groupings in the contemporary global economy is of interest for many researchers. Even more interesting, is conducting comparative studies of these processes and their rationale. Therefore, the purpose of this article was to compare the financial and monetary integration within the European Union and ASEAN.
