Development of International Students in China Under the Background of "The Belt and Road Initiative"

The development of international students is an important part of both higher education and the implementation of The Belt and Road Initiative in China. In recent years, colleges and universities in China have gradually improved the work system for international students and trained a large number of talents for many countries, especially developing countries. However, along with the continuous expansion of the scale of international students in China, there are also some problems in the cultivation of international students in colleges and universities. This paper has analyzed current problems in terms of enrollment, development, administration of international students in colleges and universities of China, and put forwards corresponding suggestions on solving them. Firstly, international students' enrollment should be improved by establishing an internationalized system and expanding channels. Secondly, it is necessary to build teaching staff and teachers and to set up internationalized curriculum. Thirdly, assimilation management is supposed to be implemented to improve teaching administration, for which professional management teams are inseparable.
