摘要
The Internet is widely used as a research and educational tool, providing a society with access to global information and instant communication. Access to the Internet can occur anywhere including homes, work, schools, fast-food restaurants, on an airplane and even on a beach. E-Learning is one of the instructional education programmes that can help students in their studies. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of using E-learning among secondary school students. Data were collected from 45 students studying at three schools in Shah Alam, Selangor. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 19.0. Results showed that most of the respondents were exposed to E-learning and among the reasons they preferred to learn via e-Learning was it provided them greater flexibility to select either instructor-led or self-study courses and enabled them the flexibility to learn at any place and time. They also agreed that one of the disadvantages of using e-Learning was it would reduce the need for face to face interaction with their friends. (C) 2013 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
