Effects of La2O3 and Gd2O3 on some properties of Ni-Zn ferrite

摘要
The effects of Fe substitution by La2O3 and Gd2O3 (Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2-xRxO4, R = La or Gd, x = 0-0.04) on the structure, magnetic, and dielectric properties of Ni-Zn ferrite are investigated. With increasing R2O3, the relative density of sintered bodies decreases, while the lattice parameter increases. La2O3 and Gd2O3 both tend to increase the cut-off frequency, decrease the initial permeability (mu') and magnetic loss tangent (tg delta(mu')) in the range of 1 M - 300 MHz; while they flatten the epsilon'-f curves, increase epsilon' values and decrease dielectric loss tangent (tg 6(e')) in the range of 1 M-40 MHz.
