摘要
The garment dressing simulation is a process which transforms multiple two-dimensional garment patterns into a three-dimensional configuration that follows the surface of the human body and enables visualization of the draping effect of the garment. The dimensional stability of a garment pattern is an important constraint that needs to be imposed to ensure the created garment has a size complying with the original design of the pattern. In this paper, we used a mass-spring system to simulate the physical properties of the fabric and adaptive sewing forces to wrap the pattern around the human model to form a virtual garment. Combined with the collision detection and response routine, the strain control for maintaining the pattern size was implemented with velocity adjustments.
