Research and implementation of the real-time middleware in open system

摘要
In the paper, a technical discussion and the implementation of real-time middleware are presented. After introduction of characteristics of open system and current researches on real-time open system, the real-time middleware is proposed to build an open system with real-time attribute. Based on real-time CORBA specification, the key technology of the real-time middleware is discussed in detail. It includes the technology of the real-time POA, the real-time ORB, thread pools, multiplexing and demultiplexing and presentation layer optimizations etc. And then the real-time performance experiments show that the implementation (rtORB) is capable of supporting real-time application. According to the analysis, a conclusion that real-time middleware provides a feasible method to build real-time open system is made.
