Measuring the energy spectra of fast ions produced in inverse Z-pinch

摘要
The energy spectra of fast ions produced in the course of electrodynamic acceleration of deuterium plasma in an inverse Z-pinch geometry have been measured. It is established It is established that the radial acceleration and subsequent free expansion of plasma lead to the formation of a flux of ions with a rather broad energy spectrum. In addition to the main group of ions with energies within 2-10 keV, the flux contains fast ions with energies of up to 200 keV and above.
