Metaphor against metaphor: Materialities of Rights Commemoration

In this text, I undertake a gesture of analysis in the space of the commemoration of rights in our present. I intend, from the theoretical device of Materialist Discourse Analysis, to read, in their mutual and irreducible heterogeneity, the materialities that overdetermine this discursive practice of commemoration, in the contemporary and everyday bond they establish with the wooden language of the legal. The description/interpretation beat allows to advance theoretically in an understanding of the functioning of the juridical in our time, which, in my opinion, summons us to a balance of concepts, distinctions, descriptive and explanatory moments. I will try to give a consequence to this, outlining a resumption (with difference) of Althusserian formulations - especially those that can be found in chapters V and XI of On reproduction - about Law and the functioning of legal ideology. This resumption aims to reassemble them from Edelman (The right captured by photography) to Pecheux (There is only cause of what fails and Delimitations, inversions, displacements). The proposed beat provides elements to reposition scaffolding: a) to re-semanticize the concept of legalism from the concept of resistance; b) make the concept of hermeticism historically pronounced - in a practical state in Milner's Love of Language.
