Non-epileptic paroxysmal events are an assembly of disorders originated by a transitory alteration of the cerebral's functions of diverse causes, sudden appearance and brief duration, more frequent in children. They usually have a benign evolution and don't need medical treatment. The basic knowledge of these syndromes is very important since it may avoid unnecessary procedures and the wrongful diagnosis of epilepsy.
