摘要
Recently different approaches have been explored for developing a system to track eye movements. These approaches expand from using image processing to measuring the reflections of IR light. In this paper, EOG (Electrooculography) signals have been exploited to detect the direction of eye movements and also different pattern of blinking. In order to detect the direction of eye movement, a couple of Ag/Cl electrodes and appropriate signal conditioner circuits arc utilized. The fabricated circuit has no longer neither the complexity of signal processing knowledges nor the long term use effects of the infrared radiations. A robotic eve with ability of tracking and mimicking of eye movement is designed and implemented, too. The proposed system can precisely recognize any eye movements and be used for controlling of wheelchair, Mouse pointer and so on by quadriplegic patients. It is also suitable for virtual reality purposes.
