摘要
Nowadays the use of fuzzy logic to handle uncertainty becomes more and more popular in scientific life. In this paper new and further developed method of fuzzy logic based automated diagnosis is presented to handle uncertainty in industrial electrostatics. An electrostatic precipitation process controlled by an operator in a cement kiln is modelled. In the system several symptoms are observed and with the help of a fuzzy expert system the relative existence of the possible faults may be determined. With automated fuzzy diagnostic, the fault existence of the observed system may be determined instantly and instructions can be received for the repairing. By monitoring the tendencies of the system state, predictions can be generated in order to prevent the whole breakdown. The diagnostic system reacts faster than the operator and also the detection of measuring equipment failure becomes possible.
