摘要
Zr-Ti-Al-Cu-Ni alloys show excellent glass forming ability (GFA). Amorphous cylindrical samples of 20 mm diameter were produced by casting the Zr57Cu20Al10Ni8Ti5 alloy into a copper mould. The crystallization becomes retarded after an initial crystallization when the Zr57Ti5Al10Cu20Ni8 amorphous alloy is annealed near the glass transition temperature. The supercooled liquid regions are not in correspondence with the relative GFA for Zr-Ti-Al-Cu-Ni alloys because the wide supercooled liquid regions are referred to long incubation time for nucleation but not certainly mean low crystal growth rates.
