摘要
The main aim of the investigations is to compare and evaluate several models of martensitic transformation and transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) for the bearing steel 100Cr6, with and without taking stress dependence into account. At first, the investigations are based on measured data of tension-compression tests with small probes undergoing martensitic transformation at a special testing machine. Secondly, we consider martensitic quenching of thin conical rings. In case of symmetric quenching by gas nozzles, the rings undergo distortion the major part of which can only be explained by TRIP, while the usual plasticity is negligible. The 3D-simulations will be compared with experimental data.
