摘要
The rising environmental load, climate change, economic crises and violations of human rights require the increase of attention to the role of business in society. It is necessary to evolve an informational openness, corporate sustainability and social responsibility of mining companies. The article discusses the operating activities of metallurgical companies. The key features of functioning of mining companies (including increasing negative impact on the environment, development of non-renewable mineral resources, injury-prone production and social meaning of companies), which determine the necessity of implementation of sustainable development's principles, are examined. The activity of world's leading metallurgical holdings within the concept of corporate sustainability is analyzed. The quality and informative value of represented non-financial reporting are examined. Main tendencies and problems of the published corporate reporting on sustainable development are identified. The effectiveness of metallurgical companies in economic, environmental and social aspects is analyzed. Key groups of internal and external stakeholders of mining companies and their interests are marked out. Based on identified objectives of stakeholders and the concept of corporate sustainable development a model of policy implementation in the field of corporate sustainability is developed, including the process of non-financial reporting's formation.
