摘要
The objective of this article is to analyze the perception that the Costa Rican and the Colombian entrepreneurial ecosystem has on the factors that influence the expectations of high growth in nascent entrepreneurs. The growth is understood as the number of employees. Conceptually, the study analyzed four factors: networks, motivation, the influence of the media and self-confidence. These factors influence growth expectations, according to the theoretical approach of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach. For the collection of the data, a semi-structured interview was applied to eighteen components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem: nine in Costa Rica and nine in Colombia. The main result was a positive effect of each of the factors, in the development of high growth expectations, but with different nuances depending on the country. It is also possible to identify similarities and differences between the two ecosystems. This study makes a contribution. It is important to know and promote through these four factors the development of high growth expectations, as part of the effort made by the entrepreneurial ecosystem to empower nascent entrepreneurs.
