摘要
This study investigates the relationship of external social capital with enterprise's core competence and the moderating effects of absorptive capacity and degrees of technical knowledge complexity. With different degrees of technical knowledge complexity and different absorptive capacity, we explore the change of the influence of external social capital on core competence. Our results reveal: higher absorptive capacity promotes the influence of external social capital to core competence rather than lower absorptive capacity; the three-way interaction of external social capital, absorptive capacity and technical knowledge complexity affects core competence positively; organization with higher absorptive capacity improves core competence evidently in the condition of less complex technical knowledge; and organization with higher or lower absorptive capacity promotes core competence in the condition of more complex technical knowledge.
