摘要
The empirical study analyses the convergence of managerial and financial accounting for primarily small and medium sized companies. The main results based on a multiple regression analysis are: (1) convergence declines with increasing firm size, (2) companies reporting based on German accounting standards (HGB) show a higher degree of convergence than companies which additionally account under IFRS or US-GAAP. For group affiliation and capital market orientation certain positive effects could be determined based on a moderated regression analysis. Ownership structure and owner's involvement in the management of companies impact convergence between managerial and financial accounting only marginally. The findings are discussed in the context of previous research.
