摘要
Subsurface drainage systems are installed for various purposes and are desirable to last for long periods of time. The long term sustainability of subsurface drainage systems is affected by such factors as the materials used in construction, the quality of the installation, the soil conditions, and the maintenance of the outlet drainage channels or pumping stations. Information is presented from Canada and other countries concerning the above components which affect the sustainability of drainage systems.
