摘要：
Through the analysis of four collections - those of Tarsila do Amaral, Olivia Guedes Penteado, Assis Chateaubriand and Pietro Maria Bardi, and Ciccillo Matarazzo and Yolanda Penteado - this study presents a historical overview that aims to elucidate the international network of personal and professional interests that gave rise to these collections, as well as their role in the consolidation of Sao Paulo within the global system of contemporary art.
