Piezoelectric properties of potassium lithium niobate single crystals

摘要
A potassium lithium niobate (KLN) single crystal with a composition of 0.3K(2)O-0.18Li(2)O-0.52Nb(2)O(5) has been successfully grown from a melt of 0.3K(2)O-0.26Li(2)O-0.44Nb(2)O(5) by the continue-charged Czochralski method. The KLN is a tetragonal material and belongs to the point group 4mm. Crystals in class 4mm have two dielectric, six elastic and three piezoelectric elements. The dielectric constants epsilon (T)(11)/ epsilon (0) and epsilon (33) (T)/ epsilon (0) flat RT were 238 and 81, respectively. The epsilon (T)(33) / epsilon (0) showed a strongly marked anomaly at the phase transition temperature of 534degreesC, and its value was 11000 at Tc. All the dielectric, elastic and piezoelectric constants at RT have been measured. Coupling factors k(15), (31), k(33) and k(t) were 0.35, 0.21, 0.56 and 0.61, respectively.
