From November 4 to 5, Thyssen Krupp Stahl AG arranged a presentation for the trade press in castle Landsberg near Essen, Six speakers informed the participants on current developments in material techniques and new applications for steels. They introduced advanced polyphase steels and further manufactured steel elements, A second topic were production techniques for high alloy, stainless steels and materials for automobile applications. The final presentations dealt with new methods for producing materials with high aluminium content and new alloys that are highly resistant to corrosion. The latter can be used in the chemical and environmental technology.
