摘要
One or more of the main alloying metals, i.e. copper, silicon, nickel, magnesium, zinc and other metals can form a composition with aluminum, by dissolving in the latter. The thermodynamic computations have indicated that within a range of temperatures from 700 degrees C to 1300 degrees C the reactions of molten aluminum with zinc and nickel oxides are shifted toward formation of free metals because it is possible to use the main alloying metals, i.e. zinc and nickel, in the form of inexpensive intermediate products and waste. The laboratory studies conducted have confirmed a possibility for production of aluminum alloys using intermediate products in the form of oxides of alloying metals.
