摘要
Paul Tillich is one of the few theologians who have thought about technology as an important topic in the systematic theological thought. This essay seeks to give account of that thought, throught the analysis of his writings, following the basic structure of the method of correlation, namely, the independent relation between the questions implied in the present situation and the answers implied in the eternal message. Besides, this essay is based on the hypothesis that the ambiguity of technology is the perspective from which it is possible to understand the technology in its mostly theological depth. In this perspective, the article begins with the concept of technology, then three ambiguities are identified, trying to get to its very roots. It continues, finally, and correlatively, with the answers, or solutions, to the problem of the ambiguity of technology. Such answers will be found in the symbol of the Spiritual Presence, which is manifested creating theonomy, that is to say, when technology is transparent to its unconditioned meaning.
