摘要：

The paper presents one of ecological building methods using local stocks - straws. The straw bale building was first developed in America during the 1800's. This technique is rapidly gaining popularity today in the world and in Lithuania, too. There is given information about innovative, environmentally-friendly building ideas, which would not be only cheaper than other popular products used in the building, but healthier for people. It also would share the good thermal behavior.
