Project-based learning approach in teaching Spanish for specific purposes: an applied proposal for the Spanish of tourism

摘要
Within the framework of active methodologies and language teaching, the project-based learning approach places the student at the center of the learning process, conceives the acquisition of the language connected to reality and improves linguistic, personal, social, and professional skills. This paper develops the possibility of implementing this approach in the teaching of Spanish for specific purposes (SSP) through a proposal addressed to B1 level professionals in the tourism sector. Taking the handbook Profesionales del turismo as a starting point, we describe the design of a project to create a scientific poster on tourism in a Hispanic destination, based on these phases: identification of the topic, search for information, planning, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination. The implementation of the project is aimed at integrating communication and professional skills, promoting collaborative work, and stimulating student motivation.
