摘要
The multiple beamforming capability of Rotman Lens Antenna has opened a new scope to cope up with the problems of satellite communication scheme. With precise beamforming with a small size, it fulfils the requirements of being a space-probe antenna in satellite communication. The freedom from phase-shifter and switching mechanism of Rotman Lens also add some important advantages which make it more competitive as a candidate for satellite antenna. However, some interferences and phase error may limit the performance of this kind of antenna. In this paper, a design method of Rotman Lens antenna has been shown with a simulated performance for certain circumstances. The radiation pattern, phase error, and ports have been calculated and simulated with required parameters of satellite communication scheme. This paper aims to explore the possibility of using Rotman Lens antenna in satellite for a suitable and reliable communication link along with the simulation-based evidence that can further be implemented in the real-world scenario.
