摘要
Technical entrepreneurship plays a pivotal role in the process of industrialisation through innovations, product development and improvements in productivity, production processes and systems. Therefore, technical education, when synchronised with an entrepreneurship development programme, can be useful to develop technical entrepreneurs and can be important in developing technical entrepreneurship for sustainable industrial development in India. Today, almost all students seek wage employment as a career option. This situation has been aggravated by the Indian education system, which does trot promote students for self-employment and entrepreneurship. One survey observed that some students have entrepreneurial characteristics, but these need to be identified and moulded. Technical entrepreneurship has to be nurtured by promoting technology trade between small industries, as well as developing faculties in intuitive and creative skills and enhancing a person's capabilities. Technical education that stresses entrepreneurship development can also play an important role in human resource management. The significance of technical entrepreneurship for sustainable industrial development in India has to be realised and entrepreneurial awareness in the curriculum must be made mandatory.
