The Effects of Rotation and Revolution Speed Ratio on the Grinding Kinetics of Cement Clinker in Horizontal Planetary Ball Mill

摘要
The effects of rotation and revolution speed ratio on the grinding kinetics of cement clinker were studied in a horizontal planetary ball mill. The grinding media and material were used in the tests: 20mm diameter steel balls, cement clinker of -2.36+2.00mm. The rotation and revolution speed ratio is 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5. The results show that cement clinker obeys first-order grinding kinetics at different rotation and revolution ratio. The specific rate of breakage reaches the highest when the ratio equals to 2. gamma achieves minimal value at ratio q=2 and 2.5. At the same time, phi and beta values reach the lowest value.
