Seismic signal denoising via a lifting scheme based wavelet packet transform

摘要
Random noises are one of interference waves in seismic exploration. It has a strong impact on the signal to noise ratio of significant waves. Conventional one dimensional noise elimination methods fail to yield desired results. Wavelet packet gives information in both the time and frequency domains and it can divides the seismic data in more detail than wavelet and better in time-space domain with Fourier transform. Factoring wavelet packet into lifting scheme can get a much more fast computation speed and flexible design on signal analysis. We can implement wavelet into lifting schemes by using poly-phase method, and then the whole lifting scheme version of wavelet packet could be got. By decomposing seismic signal through lifting wavelet packet and with the wavelet shrinkage technology, the random seismic noises can be effectively eliminated after reconstructing. Real data processing shows that this algorithm has a good denoising effect.
