摘要
A subcarrier-based optical phase-locked loop is used to build an optical receiver for homodyne coherent detection of wavelength-division-multiplexing 2.5-Gb/s binary phase-shift keying signals. An analysis of the interchannel interference is performed by an evaluation of the effect of channel spacing on the system performance. The presented architecture offers the potential for providing many closely spaced multigigabit channels and enables coherent lightwave technology to become commercially viable.
