Partial nerve injuries in the upper extremity require accurate diagnosis. Management of these injuries demands microsurgical-skill and precise instrumentation. Repair is more difficult in chronic injuries, which makes immediate diagnosis very important. Careful patient selection, knowledge of topography of the injured nerve, and careful matching of the injured fascicles helps in obtaining a satisfactory outcome that will allow the patient to regain a useful function of the injured extremity.
