Management of Innovation in Academic Environment

The present work presents the experience of the use of knowledge management techniques and tools to assist in the efficiency of processes and information sharing in an organizational environment geared towards the academic field. For this, the three stages of the knowledge management cycle (KM Cycle) were used: activities of capture, sharing and application of knowledge. In this sense, the research methodology used to conduct the study was qualitative and empirical descriptive, with the main result being the development of an efficient KM solution for the academic management of advanced campuses of a brazilian public federal university, which could contribute to the effectiveness and dynamism of teamwork. It is concluded that the research contributed to propose an efficient management of the academic activities developed in these campuses, especially regarding the standardization of reports through an information system.
