Feasibility of precision measurement of the Earth's surface relief using SAR interferometry data

摘要
The results of the analysis of phase fields, obtained during the processing of echo signals from radar sensing of the Earth's surface carried out using the SAR installed on the Almaz-1 satellite are given. Interferometric methods for processing pairs of radar images, acquired by consecutive survey of a single local area from circuits with different but similar parameters are described. The results of interpretation of the interferograms obtained, taking into account the main characteristics of the radar signal and the generalized parameters of the local area observed are given. The feasibility of recovering heights of the relief from an interferogram of the surface is assessed together with the errors in the recovery, taking into account phase noise.
