Operating mode of internet search engines: applications in biology and medecine

摘要：
The aim of this article is to present the operating mode of internet search engines (search engines, meta-search engines, and directories) and to propose advices for better controlling their use. The difficulties encountered during the use of these tools are exposed and the interest of tools specifically dedicated to the search of information in biology/medicine discussed.
