Using mobile devices for personalized information

摘要
The introduction and extensive usage of Internet and Intranet in information systems have left the restriction of excessive information intact so far. XML is often seen as a closely related technique to HTML due to its tagging system. How ever, all major software vendors are appreciating XML as a new way of seeing and sharing information sources. First we will give a comprehensive overview of the techniques available for the mobile and PDA devices. Secondly we address the advantages and disadvantages of personalization, which has become the main solution for the information overflow in the web environment. In this scope we will see how information systems and their construction are affected due to the requirements of the new mobile networks and end devices. We include some examples how existing web pages can include the usage of mobile extensions. We will also see some future prospects of small devices both in the educational and business environments.
