摘要
Today, power systems work on fewer stability margins than in the past due to the increasing electrical energy consumption compared to the past. Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC), as one of the most critical FACTS devices, can improve the system's dynamic stability Power is used, the extent of the effect of this controller in improving the dynamic stability depends on its proper location in the power system. This device can control all the various parameters affecting the load distribution in the transmission line at the same time. These parameters usually include voltage, impedance, and phase. In this paper, using the social spider optimization algorithm (SSO), the optimal location and parameters of UPFC have been used to improve the dynamic stability of the power system against the errors of various generators. The SSO algorithm optimizes 12 variables in UPFC, including line number, beginning and end line bass, active and reactive power injected, series and parallel voltage size and angle, UPFC series, and parallel impedance. The proposed method was evaluated on 14 IEEE bus systems under different scenarios of generators leaving the system. This paper's results indicate that using SSO optimization algorithms in UPFC positioning and sizing under all possible conditions reduces losses and improves dynamic stability.
