Technology Innovation and Firm Performace in Vietnam's SME Sector

This paper examines the impact of technology innovation on the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. The OLS regression model was used with data collected from SMEs survey of Vietnam in 2015 with 2649 observations. The results show that almost variables of technology innovation has a positive effect on Revenue and Profit. Specifically, the technology innovation influence enterprise revenue and profit includes the percentage of new main equipment, the number of operating personal computers, technology transfer from the customers, technology transfer from the suppliers, new technology, and training for new technology. From the research results, some implications are proposed to improve the performance of SMEs in Vietnam.
