摘要
Understanding and communication are basic elements in decision making processes. One purpose of decision support systems, especially in the water resource management, is to anticipate and possibly solve potential conflicts. Because conflicts are so pervasive within the domain of human decision making, there is a great need for flexible procedures to assist in understanding, modeling, and analyzing potential conflicts. Visualization of scenarios and consequences of perceived measures can play an important role. Nowadays, virtual environments and web-based systems are used to display computational model results, to analyze measurement data, and to explore scenario development. Computer Graphics can translate abstract perceptions into concrete images. Moreover, the integration of computation and visualization may lead to shared visual alternatives where computer simulations are guided interactively with immediate visual feedback (in computer science often referred to as computational steering). This research will try to create a reference model for the web-based virtual environment which can assist group decision making for water based system. Hence, it tries to incorporate different knowledge layers into a common perception layer which is suitable for knowledge dissemination.
