摘要
Recent studies have shown that both continuous recording and the FreeStyle Libre system have particularly beneficial effects on the management of patients with diabetes mellitus (especially type 1 diabetes), and their application has improved HbA1c levels and the incidence of hypoglycaemic episodes. As they do not require frequent blood glucose tests with the piercing of the fingers, which is often painful for patients, they improve their quality of life and are especially useful in patients who experience unconscious hypoglycemia as well as hypoglycemia at night. The purpose of this review is to report recent literature on the use of continuous recording and the FreeStyle Libre system in individuals with type 1 and 2 diabetes, their effect on patient glycemic control, hypoglycemia and quality of life, and reference to existing guidelines.
