摘要
Technology diffusion in the military is an important but understudied phenomenon. Comprehending what military users perceive to be important about using technology can provide insight into factors that influence adoption and diffusion. This study examined military user perceptions about technology. A survey instrument measuring the Perceptions of Innovating and Voluntariness was distributed among people with experience in the military domain. The perceptions of ease of use, relative advantage, and result demonstrability were the strongest predictors of adoption or nonadoption. Voluntariness was not a strong predictor. An implication of the research is that it is possible to determine predictors of adoption in ways that can be used to inform requirements and designs.
