摘要：
INFORMATION has always played a key role in military engagements. For commanders, issuing orders and having them followed quickly and accurately means the difference between winning and losing a battle, For soldiers on the battlefield, knowing what the enemy is doing could mean the difference between life and death. Therefore, the US military is increasingly turning to information technology (IT) as the best way to give its forces a superior edge in battle.
