In accordance with the survey result of employment situation return visit of civil engineering graduates of Huangshi Institute of Technology of the years of 2007, 2008 and 2009, current status of civil engineering education is analyzed and how to foster professional application-oriented talents for the school's civil engineering major is discussed. The passage put forward its thoughts and suggestions on reform, implementation of practical teaching and professional characteristics for the curriculum system of the civil engineering major.
