摘要：

In this paper, the authors study the sustainable development of costal Chinese cities from the perspective of ecological environment and tourism economy. An urban tourism economy and coordinated model is established. The model contributes to make a quantitative assessment for sustainable development of coastal Chinese cities. Taking Rizhao as an example, the authors calculate the sustainable development degree of tourism and environment of the city. The results show that Rizhao is good in terms of regional sustainable development. However, the local ecological environment should be improved.
