An Experimental Validation of single-phase AC power Generation from PV using H-bridge Inverter

摘要
solar energy is considered as one of the fastest growing renewable energy sources after wind energy for electrical power generation and is clean, abundant and free in nature. The power generation from solar photovoltaic system mainly depends upon environmental conditions such as temperature and irradiance. In which, photo voltaic (PV) output power varies mostly on variation of irradiation and which reflects on PV output current. Because, the voltage supplied to electrical loads must be almost constant and this can be achieved with the help of closed loop control of DC-DC boost converter. The output from PV panels is DC hence for AC load applications two stage conversion circuits are required such as DC-DC converter for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and an DC-AC inverter to achieve desired AC voltage and frequency. In this paper, a DC-DC boost converter along with perturb and observe (P&O) MPPT and an H-bridge 2-level inverter is designed to convert the DC voltage to chopped AC voltage and filtered to give pure sinusoidal AC output. The output from the inverter is fed to transformer to get 230-volt AC RNIS value, which makes the system suitable for local AC loads arc simulated in MATLAB-SIMULINK environment as well as validated experimentally.
