Structural (n,m) determination of isolated single wall carbon nanotubes by resonant Raman scattering

摘要
We performed confocal micro Raman spectroscopy of an individual single-wall nanotube. Isolated SWNTs are prepared by a chemical vapor deposition method on a Si/SiO2 substrate containing iron catalyst particles of nanotube size. We show that resonant confocal micro Raman spectroscopy of an (n, m) individual single-wall nanotube makes it possible to assign its chirality uniquely by measurement of one radial breathing mode frequency omega(RBM).
