A network of local energy agencies in the Lombardy Region - Italy

Scope of the paper is to demonstrate, through the experience of the Lombardy Region, how the creation and the financial support of a Network of Local Energy Agencies can greatly enhance the correct use of energy and the promotion of renewable energy sources at a local level. After showing the nature and the structure of the local energy agencies, this paper focuses upon the most important actions carried out by the Network in the last three years of activities. The creation of these technical structures on the territory is a small but concrete answer to the need of an energy policy oriented towards sustainability.
